When Did An Attic In Vegas Become A Penthouse?

When Did An Attic In Vegas Become A Penthouse?

Language is a funny thing; not all that long ago (in the bigger scheme of things), if you told someone that you had some Las Vegas Citycenter Penthouses For Sale; they could have possibly thought that you were offering to sell them a small shed type structure beneath a sloping roof coming out of the side wall of a building; in other words, some sort of outhouse. Around that same historical time, whenever they did build a tall residential building; that was to be split up into a number of residential apartments on each floor; the ground floor units would be the most sought after and the most expensive. Less well off people would have to struggle up the stairs to their top floor attics, lofts or garrets (the dictionary says that a garret is a small, unpleasant room just below the roof of a building).

I Guess The Elevator Changed Our Point Of View

And not only in the sense of taking us higher up inside a building than we would care to climb so that we can admire the view from the top – it does not seem to matter overmuch what it is we are looking at; we all seem to prefer the view from higher up. However, the elevator also changed our opinion on living at the top of a building (where we could admire the view) and, all of a sudden, attics became desirable and penthouses were no longer sheds but large, luxurious dwellings, right at the very top of tall buildings.

So, returning to the question of those Las Vegas Citycenter Penthouses For Sale; we are looking at something highly sought after. Las Vegas has grown beyond recognition from some early Spanish-Mexican settlers simple houses with penthouse to the side; Vegas is a number one tourist spot and most of this is due to the casinos and, in particular, the area known as the Las Vegas Strip (actually located at the City border in a township called Paradise). In this area, just about everything is high rise and the recently developed CityCenter is no exception.

CityCenter Las Vegas

Possibly the most expensive private development in US history; CityCenter is a totally redeveloped part of the Strip. The Crystals at 30 feet high is not high rise; but, it is a 500,000 sq ft, retail, entertainment, eating & drinking complex; out of which two 480 feet high, twin towered condominium blocks rise. In addition, there are 4 other high rise buildings; where there may still be Las Vegas Citycenter Penthouses For Sale. To know more visit Veertowers.com.

Paradise is not Las Vegas

It’s true, Paradise NV, the home of the International Airport of Vegas, the university and the better part of The Strip is in an unincorporated town that dates back to 1950. However, getting real; even when people visit Vegas and they are in Paradise, they don’t know it and even if they do, who cares!

It is not only the airport, the university and most of the best hotels, casinos, restaurants and other entertainment that is in Paradise, it is also a great place to find an apt for sale in CityCenter Las Vegas. CityCenter sits right on The Strip in Paradise and it is the biggest privately funded construction project in the US; imagine 76 acres of the finest in dining, luxurious spas and some of the best designer boutiques in the world all in one place. And talk about convenience, CityCenter is directly connected to The Bellagio and The Monte Carlo properties by a people mover system.

It is hard to believe today when you look down the four mile Strip that it was not all that long ago when the entertainment capital of the world was nothing more than a watering hole along the Spanish Trail between Los Angeles and Santa Fe NM. Roughly translated, Las Vegas means “The meadows” and was named for the underground water hidden in various artesian springs.

What started because of water continues because of water. Everywhere you look in Las Vegas there is water, water is used for the magnificent fountains at The Bellagio, right next door to the apt for sale in CityCenter Las Vegas. Water is also used extensively at The Hard Rock CafĂ©, The Aria and Caesar’s Palace. And after all these years, it is the same artesian wells that provided the water to the travelers on the Old Spanish Trail.

It is more than water that dominates Sin City, believe it or not, once the sun goes down, over 15,000 miles of neon tubes spring into life, making The Strip the brightest place on the face of the earth. It is not just the neon; there is a light cannon on the top of the Luxor pyramid which blasts out over 30 billion lumens of light that can be seen from LA.

All of this is at the doorstep of the luxury apt for sale in CityCenter Las Vegas.
